Login Help
- If you can't log in because you're receiving the message "the login information provided is not correct:"
- If you need to recover your login name or reset your password:
Use our self-service system.
- If you can't log in due to a problem with 2-factor authentication:
If your two-factor device is not working, please double-check that you're using the right one. It is very common for people to accidentally use the 2FA configuration for the email address associated with their membership rather than the 2FA configuration associated with their membership.
If that isn't the problem, or if your two-factor device is missing or broken, you should have some single-use recovery codes generated when you set up 2FA. You'll need three: one to log in and two more to remove the existing two-factor setup. If you don't have them, you'll have to complete the Login Recovery Process for a lost 2-factor device.
- If you can't recover your login name or reset your password because you lost access to the email address associated with your membership.
- You'll have to complete the Login Recovery Process for a lost email address. Please see this entry in our FAQ.
- If you log in but then get immediately redirected back to the login screen:
- It's a cookie issue. Please see this entry in our FAQ.
- If you log in but then get a "Session Protection" warning, or if you log in but get kicked back to the login screen after a few minutes:
- It's likely your ISP. Please see this entry in our FAQ.
- If you can't log in because you're using a VPN or proxy IP address that has been blocked for abuse:
- You'll probably need to disable your VPN or proxy. Also, complain to your VPN/proxy operator that abuse they facilitated is causing a problem for you. We do not remove abuse blocks in response to email requests.
- If you cannot log in for another reason:
- Check the "Login Questions" section of our public FAQ.
